Help! Constipation is no joke right now...

Sorry if this is TMI but I need help 🙈

Been on a weight loss jab (Mounjaro) for 3 weeks now and the constipation is REAL. Like, uncomfortably real. I’ve tried adding All-Bran, more fruit and veg, drinking tons of water… still absolutely nothing. Starting to feel a bit desperate.

Is this just something we push through or has anyone found something that actually works? Any advice welcome – I’m seriously considering yoga just to shift things 😂

Thanks in advance!

Oh bless you Sophie, I totally relate! That was my Week 3 nightmare too 😩

What helped me in the end was adding a magnesium supplement – gentle on the tum and got things moving again within a day or two. Also, a warm cup of prune juice in the morning (grim, but magic).

Yeah… this was the side effect no one warned me about! I didn’t want to take laxatives, so I tried chia seed pudding every morning and it actually made a difference. Also walking a bit more helped – something about movement and digestion I guess?

You’re definitely not alone Sophie – I had a proper cry one day because I felt so blocked and bloated 😢

My GP said a bit of Lactulose is ok if it’s been a few days – it’s gentle and worked for me. Just be kind to yourself, the first few weeks can be rough on the system 💛

Oof, this thread is making me feel seen 😅 I do Mounjaro too and I swear the constipation hits harder than the appetite loss.

I second the magnesium tip and also... coffee. Like strong black coffee. It doesn’t always work, but when it does… 🚀

Ha! Week 2 for me was like cement. Brutal.

I now eat kiwi fruit first thing and take psyllium husk capsules – not the sexiest combo but it’s been solid (pun intended) for the last month. Hang in there, your gut will adapt.

This is defo a thing! 😂 I wasn’t sure if it was just me or the jab but turns out it’s VERY common.

Weirdly, my PT said a little light ab work can also help things move – sounds odd but actually made sense. Hope you get relief soon Soph!

Thanks so much everyone – didn’t expect so many replies and it’s honestly made me laugh and feel a bit better 🙌

I’m gonna try the magnesium and maybe a bit of prune juice (wish me luck 🤢). Also will get walking a bit more – too embarrassed to fart in yoga right now 😂

Update us if you find your magic combo! Honestly these chats are gold – no one talks about this stuff IRL but it makes such a difference when you know you’re not the only one going through it 💬

Yep, this thread needs to be pinned 😂 ‘Constipation Chronicles: The Real Jab Story.’

Also just putting it out there – when things finally do move again... it’s a victory worth celebrating 🥳 Stay strong SlimrChatters!
