Has anyone travelled with jabs, spoiled one in the heat, or has a good storage hack for them going on holidays somewhere hot?
@Lou D I took my jabs to Spain last month and managed to keep them cool. I used a small insulated cooler with a frozen gel pack and wrapped the pen in a towel so it would not freeze. At the hotel I made sure there was a fridge and checked the temperature. At the airport I carried the prescription label just in case but had no issues.
Anyone tried USB fridges or temperature-tracking cases?
I've never heard of a USB fridge, they look interesting. I do use a cooller case for medicines like this: Cooler Travel Case - it's actually built for insulin pens so it does the job great for short haul flights / day travel.
I thought they didn’t need to be stored in the fridge once they’ve been delivered?
@lisar I think they advise to store Mounjaro in a fridge (and you should avoid fluctuations in temp) to maintain its effectiveness. Once opened I think it can be stored at room temp for up to 21 days. I guess if people are going to where it is hot (let's face it, that is everywhere at the mo!) then best to store in the cool, like a fridge.
